Visiting Disney Land Parks

Visiting Disney Land Parks

So you decided to go to Disney Land Park? Great decision. Holidays at Disney are always a great way to spend the festivities and have a lovely time with
your family. As may already know Disney is a big corporation and you can find many different disney parks. From Disney land to Disney world, you can choose many locations around the world. I have to confess I’m a disney land fanatic, I love it , and if you are going with your kdis, you will have a lovely time.

Disney is one of that parks that many times adults enjoy more and even the kids.

Usually when you buy a disney land park ticket you need to keep in mind the ticket is for a full day and that means that you should take as much advantage as possible for the money you are paying. This mean: wake up early and try to arrive to the park as pronto as possible. Disney land parks open pretty early and usually close late at night time after their last show and their fireworks.

To buy tickets you can usually check places like Ebay, trust me you can get great deals from Auction sites. The reason is simple to understand, many families face sometimes personal problems and they need to cancel their holidays and the tickets can’t be refunded. That’s why this tickets usually go for a very good price.

You can find disney land tickets for all the disney parks including Los Angeles, Orlando, Florida, Hong Kong, and Paris. Regarless the park you want to book, it is clear that it is a good investment.

Tickets are not expensive at all, but if why not trying to safe money in the entry and then expend the rest with your family.

Always remember that the whole disney experience is not cheap ,and sometimes the basic things can be very expensive, like drinks, ice creams and snacks.

So be smart and take some food with you and try to explain to your kids that they can’t buy all the toys in the stores. Make with them a plan and try to explain them they are only allowed to buy one toy from the disney stores locates in the park.

Disney is all about imagination and if you plan your trip well and get the tickets that you need , fro sure will have a great day out. One of the best advices I ever got was to plan your route around the park, so try not to take the most logical route. The reason? well, the answer is pretty obvious:

Almost all the tourist take the easiest route, and if you just follow them, you will face longer waiting time to enter the rides and shows.

So why not starting from the back? Try to take a train or minibus as soon as you enter the park and tackle the park from back to front, in that way you avoid the rush, the long waiting time and you have more time to enjoy a larger number of attactions.

Me and my family are going to plan a trip to Disney Land. And I want to know if there is any way that you can find out if you can find out when the stars are going to be in Disney Land. I already looked on the website.

Epcot is good if you're looking for a variety of food options to pick from. They also have a few good rides – Test Track puts you in a vehicle with some other people and then you go through a set of "tests" for the car (how quickly the car accelerates, breaks, doeson bumpy terrain, etc); Soarin' is new and is like hanggliding above California.
MGM is where my husband and I visited most when we stayed in Disney for a week last May (I'm 31 and he's 36). There are a lot of things to do there – Indiana Jones Stunt Show, Lights, Cameras, Action! stunt show, The Great Movie Ride, and then the action rides (Tower of Terror, Aerosmith's Rockin' Roller Coaster). There's also Fantasmic!, which is a cool firworks and more show at night. You can do a dinner & Fantasmic package that will get you better seats for the show (we ate at Mama Melrose's before the show).
Magic Kingdom is the classic park that has the most rides for kids, but we spent some time there too. Animal Kingdom can easilly be done in 1 morning for 2 adults. There's the Kilamanjaro (sp) Safari, and Everest (their newest coaster), and other than that, really just The Lion King show is worth it for adults, in my opinion.
So, I'd suggest MGM for the longest amount of time (maybe a morning and afternoon), then Epcot for dinner. You could do Animal Kingdom in the morning the next day and then do Magic Kingdom for the afternoon, and end up back at MGM for dinner and Fantasmic. You cuold do Pleasure Island after Epcot the first night – I highly suggest the Adventurer's Club. Actors play roles of different adventurers from the early 1900's and perform interactive shows in different rooms. AT least stop in for 1 drink there. It's our favorite spot in Pleasure Island. There's also a comedy club that was pretty good if you catch the last show of the nigh.
    Have fun!!

With the Park Hopper ticket you can go on any ride or attraction in Disneyland and California Adventure for as many days as your Park Hopper ticket is valid.

The only exceptions to this is the games that they do consider an attraction. Even with a ParkHopper ticket you still need to pay for the Shooting Gallery and Arcade games in Disneyland and the Boardwalk Games in California Adventure.

I live in Manitoba and went to Disney World not Disneyland.
Again it was a family of four with both girls being 12. We checked out the price of the resort with meal packages and then we looked at the alternative which is a hotel off site with a kitchen. WAY CHEAPER!!!
You might want to just check that out before you book. If you were going to the Disney World I could give you the info, but I don't know too much on Disneyland.
My girls had the most amazing time and I plan to go back for the 16th birthday.
    Have a ball!!!

Disney World is amazing, and can take weeks and months to complete until you feel like you "did it all." It is a place to continually explore, enjoy and relax. Walt Disney World Commando Style is almost suicide, though my parents did it with me when I was younger.

I grew up in Southern California, and I must say that Disneyland does have a very special feeling to it. It is a bit more inexpensive because it is different, and there aren't as many parks, but you spend so much time in Disneyland exploring and just really discovering all of hidden gems it is grand to really just take your time.

They are completely different experiences and cannot be interchanged one for the other as simply a west coast or east coast version. I enjoy the differences in pace, feel, and content.

But 3 days is nice but 5 days you can take such a leisurely pace, it is nice to be able to say, "OK… enough for today, we have tomorrow"

Take a park map and cross out each attraction as you experience it, and it Will be fun as you get to lesser known attractions such as "golden dream" and you discover these lesser known gems.

    Hope this helped.

In May, the crowds aren't as big as on holidays or periods when schools are out. The weather ranges between the mid-70s to low 80s. As for the attractions, some of the lines may be long, but the stand-by wait times are manageable.

First time visitors absolutely have to see the nighttime shows at three of the four parks. Magic Kingdom features a SpectroMagic parade and the Wishes fireworks display; Epcot presents the IllumiNations nighttime spectacular, and MGM features the Fantasmic light show.

    Some attractions you shouldn't miss:
Magic Kingdom – Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey's PhilharMagic 3D show, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Haunted Mansion

Epcot – Soarin', Test Track, Mission: Space, The Seas with Nemo and Friends

Disney-MGM Studios – Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Great Movie Ride, Lights Motors Action Extreme Stunt Show, MuppetVision 3D

Animal Kingdom – Expedition Everest, Festival of the Lion King, Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur, Finding Nemo: The Musical, Kilimanjaro Safaris, It's Tough to be a Bug 3D show

Downtown Disney has numerous other shops and restaurants; it even includes a 24-screen movie theater.

The disney character that I like is the "Disney Princesses". I dislike all the other characters.

I went to Disney"Land" last year for the fourth of July and I saw all of my favorite Disney Princesses.

    ~~Hope this helps!~~

P.S.- I loved the way you addressed your question. It was simple, and easy to read. It was a joy answering your question.

If you left out Ocean Park and Disneyland, yes you could do it.

The last time I was at Ocean Park (about 6 months ago) the entrance fee was about $220HKD!

Use public transport, eat where the locals eat, buy alcohol in supermarkets and it could be done, without any frills though.

Of course Disney and Universal are great. I actually prefer Universal, especially Islands of Adventure. They're rides are really good.
Gatorland is the 'old Florida attraction'. It's not a theme park with all the rides, more like the old roadside attraction. I enjoy it and you can see the whole thing in a day. Make sure to get a good spot for the feeding time with whole chickens! It's cool to watch the alligator position themselves!
Sea World has alot of the stadium shows. Make sure to see the Shamu one and if you sit in the 'splash area', you will get completely soaked.
Kennedy Space Center is good too. There's alot of history there. My dad worked for them during the Apollo time.
I took my kids to the Holy Land shortly after they opened. We were not thrilled about it. Found it somewhat boring. I would rather take that day and go to the beach.
    Have fun

Disney is probably the best choice for you. I worked there over a summer and there is plenty to see there in a week's time. I actually think it would be a better experience to take it slow and not rush through everything. Disney has 4 parks to visit with all kinds of shows, rides, fireworks, parades, animals, and all that good Disney stuff. Universal studios is pretty awesome too but you don't need that much time there. At Disney, you can entertain the younger kids and the older kids. Everyone can get on just about every ride together. It is expensive at Disney. It's best to get one of their vacation packages with the food cards. If this will be your first time at Disney, be sure to tell the employees you meet. They'll probably give you a cool sticker or pin. Have fun!

If you have young kids here's some tips to keep them safe…

I would have to agree with Mom there and skip the drive to Busch Gardens. It is a long ride with little reward. I would spend the extra time in one of the Disney parks, because as Mom said, Disney and Universal will be PACKED! You will have a hard time seeing everything you want to see in the days you have listed. My advice is to skip Busch Gardens, and to plan something for after the Sea World visit. Sea World you can do in less than a day. I also wouldn't spend more than the two days at Universal or IOA. In my opinion Universal and IoA are overrated. I have been there a few times, and each time the parks were dirty, the employees are less than helpful, almost grouchy. Plus they seem to cater more towards the thrill rides rather than the all around family experience that Disney offers, I would much rather spend my cash at Disney, but that is my opinion.

Another suggestion is to add a character meal to your itinerary. Disney has a whole bunch of them, with just about any character you can imagine. Our favorite is Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary. It is an easy way to see Mickey and the rest of the gang, who come up to your table and sign autographs and pose for pics.

If you have not made reservations yet for the whole trip, I would strongly recommend that you stay at a Disney resort. You can still visit all of the other attractions very easily, and you also get the benefits of the outstanding Disney service and PERKS! Disney takes great care of their resort guests, like free shuttle service to and from the Orlando Int'l airport. I know you said you were renting a car, but with the shuttle service you wouldn't need to rent one the whole time, saving you some money. They offer Extra Magic hours, where one park is open early and one late for resort guests only. That was a blast when I took my kids this past March, my 8 year old got to ride the rides he loves more. There is also the unlimited use of the free transportation system. Now, that doesn't sound like a lot, except for the fact that the off site places only have limited shuttle service, it is not door to door like the Disney transportation, and in many cases costs extra. Plus driving to the parks everyday, especially at that time of the season, is a nightmare. If you have not already made your arrangements I would highly recommend one of the Disney resorts, they have a resort to fit any budget. I know that being from L.A. you probably visit Disneyland, but trust me this is NOT Disneyland. WDW is a whole city by itself, and an experience 10 times the size of DL. Don't try to compare the two. I know there are similar rides and attractions at DL and WDW, but that is where the similarities end.

I hope this helps, I think that with the exception of Busch Gardens you have a heck of a trip planned. I hope you can get it all into the 12 days you have listed. If you want some more good info on all of these attractions, especially Disney, check out the disboards. It is a free message board type website that has a ton of info for you, from resort reviews, restaurant reviews, tips, advice and all from people who go often and know what they are talking about. I put the link below.
